Instant PDF download. Print one copy per parent.
Many parents keep their finances, accounts, and paperwork in their heads, or in a filing system only they understand. If they have a sudden health scare, adult children are often left making calls, searching drawers, and guessing what Mom or Dad would have wanted.
The Mom & Dad File gives you a calm, structured way to have that conversation now. Your parent shares their information and wishes, and decides what goes in. Your part is to ask the questions and write things down.
Is this for you?
You’re already the one who helps. You drive to appointments, sort the mail, and field the calls. Get it all in one place.
You’re the one who lives far away. Know who to call and where things are, even from three states over.
There are a few of you. Agree on who handles what before anyone has to guess.
You haven’t brought it up yet. We’ll help you start with one easy section.
What’s inside

How it works
Pick a calm time. A holiday visit, a Sunday call, or coffee at the kitchen table.
Start with one section. You don’t need to finish in one visit. Everything you complete is progress.
Store it where your parent chooses, and make sure more than one person knows where it is.
Review it together once a year, or after a move, a new doctor, or a change in health.

Frequently asked questions
-
Adult children, and anyone helping an aging parent, relative, or friend get organized.
-
No. It’s an organizer for recording what your parent has, where it is, and what they want. It isn’t a Will, power of attorney, or health care directive, and it doesn’t replace them. If they would like someone to be able to act for them, documents like a financial or healthcare power of attorney are commonly used for that.
-
It’s a printable PDF, so nothing you write is stored by Mitzi. Your parent decides where it’s kept. You don’t need full account numbers or passwords. A note on where to find them works too.
-
Yes. Print as many copies as your family needs for personal use. We suggest one copy per parent.
-
That’s common. Start with the easiest section, like contacts or pets, and come back to the rest. The guide includes conversation starters to help.
-
Because it’s an instant digital download, all sales are final.
